Have Liow and MCA been sleeping on the job?
Liow to talk to PM on Chinese school allocations
Straight talk Joe 51: The allocation for Chinese schools announced in October 2015 and was in effect from January 2016. Thus, MCA has been sleeping and suddenly woke up to find the coffers empty.
Isn’t the fund being disbursed periodically and monitored if these so-called Chinese champions have some sense of responsibility?
You certainly won’t wait Dec 31, 2016 to start looking into the empty promises and start talking to the PM after the New Year 2017. That’s a sick joke Mr Liow.
No-brainer: What has the deputy education minister from MCA been doing all this while? This RM50 million allocation was given to the ministry and he should know about this allocation. He should have made sure that this money had been disbursed to all the Chinese schools.
Was he sleeping or what? So far this deputy minister didn’t comment on this fiasco. But, can he?
Watan: Nobody is sleeping in MCA. MCA wants and needs attention to be seen as important. Their strategy is simply to create an issue out of a non-issue to be the champion of their community.
Their community need to be given a lesson for not supporting current government, so the only way is let their community feel the so call sour and sweet taste. Sour means you don’t get a disbursement of funds, while sweet means MCA will seek the allocated funds. Unfortunately, what their community end up tasting is bitter.
It is unfortunate that this bitterness make some feel good. This scenario is win-win for a lot of people, but lose-lose for some.
Dalvik: Why do you beg when it is an allocation in the national budget? I’m not sure of your success rate with begging. I wish you good luck with that.
MariKitaUbah: Mr Liow, this is an allocation that has been budgeted. This means the money is there and ever ready to be disbursed at the begining of 2016. Is there a need to see the PM to discuss this? MCA is being taken for a ride by Umno.
Anyway, when did the thief ever keep his promise? The rakyat are fed up with this kind of leaders. BN has lost respect, trust and is no longer fit to manage the country. They know how to corrupt and plunder which is leading the country into misery.
Voice: The disbursement of this annual allocation to primary and secondary school is the duty and responsibility of the education ministry. So, what has the deputy education minister from MCA have done about this?
Did he has fail in his job and that this is the reason why the MCA president is taking over? Imagine this is a promised annual allocation for education or for nation building and yet MCA have to see their master’s face.
The Rover: What? He discusses the matter from time to time with MO1? What other matter does he need to discuss regularly if not the issue of Chinese schools all the time? Why is MCA in BN if this issue is not the paramount issue which they needs to be looked after all the time?
Why need to grovel up to the playboy who is now playing golf in Australia on the public expense? How much does that holiday cost us when it can be used to serve more pressing needs at home? All that these MCA eunuchs care about is their personal interests and minor cabinet seats.
Anonymous #19098644: It’s now 2017 and he is talking about discussions with the government, of which the MCA is a part of, about disbursing 2016 allocation for Chinese schools. Will the Chinese schools have to wait until 2018 or 2019 to have the 2017 allocation disbursed?
The Tamil schools have had their allocation fully disbursed and I suppose the national schools as well. So what is the problem here? It reflects on the incompetence of the government and in particular the MCA. Enough of the spin, the lies and and the cover ups. The MCA is irrelevant to the community.
RM2.6 billion turkey haram: It is a pity that Chinese schools still have to beg for money, which was already allocated for its use. RM50 million is not a big amount, going by the high cost of service and goods. Yet, the ministry is reluctant to give in full. Why?
Education is an investment for the future and most countries places high priority on this. Now that China is coming into the country in big ways, Chinese education is even more important and thus making it more important to allocate not only Rm50 million, but even more for its development.
Soo Jin Hou: During last election campaign, MCA threatened the Chinese community by saying the Chinese will be sidelined without representation.
Now that MCA is in the government and Chinese are still sidelined, what is the use of MCA being in the government?
