Now spotlight is on chief accused’s wife
‘We’re aware of Rosmah account before exposé’
MatiLoh: Only in our country that strange things are reported before the authority come out and said they knew about them well ahead of time.
I wonder why nothing was done before these were exposed by the media. Some of these things happened in 2013.
Where didn’t those responsible make sure these strange things are stopped before they are brought to light? Talk about transparency.
Kamikasi: My take is this. The task force is merely a front to buy time to erase all traces of wrongdoing.
Eventually, there will no evidence, no money involved, even though the evidence are there as glaring as the sun.
From now on, anyone who leaks information on the wrongdoings of Umno will face the long arm of the law.
ChrisJ: “Hence, the special task force hopes that no one will question the integrity of Bank Negara, the police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission in their duties and functions in the investigation,” said the special task force.
These people who are heads of these bodies should feel ashamed to even talk about ‘integrity’, especially when they have zero integrity themselves.
Chipmunk: How to not question the integrity of Bank Negara, the police and the MACC in the investigations as they have no integrity in the first place?
The attorney-general (AG) does not have any integrity, nor does the inspector-general of police (IGP) or the MACC chief.
The only person who we thought had integrity has now proven that she too sold her integrity to cover for Najib.
So stop preaching about integrity to the rakyat. Even a beggar on the streets has more integrity than Najib and these four stooges.
From Penang: The person I don’t trust most in the special task force is Khalid Abu Bakar because he is not serving for the interest of the rakyat. I don’t trust Abdul Gani Patail either with his double standards on prosecutions.
I, too, don’t trust Abu Kassim Mohamed because his agency caused the death of Teoh Beng Hock. I used to trust Bank Negara governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz but no more because she failed to sound the alarm when huge sums of money were going into VVIP personal accounts.
So, there is no need to question the integrity of the special task force. It is crystal clear it has no integrity.
Negarawan: “The task force knew about this before the (media) expose and an investigation is being conducted,” said its joint statement.
The four stooges should be deeply ashamed of themselves. This statement only reveals their incompetence and dishonesty to the international financial community.
If any of the task force members feel that they cannot fulfil his/her task in a transparent and honest manner – and in the interest of the rakyat and not of the accused – then it is best for him/her to leave the task force honourably and not further tarnish the image of the country.
The whole country is hoping for the truth to prevail, and for full accountability from the government, even though they realise that there are unprecedented efforts to cover up the truth and prevent justice from taking its course.
The international business community can decide for themselves whether the task force or Sarawak Report/The Wall Street Journalhave more credibility.
Hmmmmmmmm: The records only show the transactions for this year. How long has this actually been going on?
If the task force already knew about it, why was no action taken? When did they actually feel would be the right time to put a stop to it? Only when the country goes bankrupt?
Odin Tajué: Malaysia is ‘The Land of Endless Charades’ and not ‘The Land of Endless Possibilities’, because the latter has more positive than negative connotations, whereas the former imparts only negative ideas.
You have a so-called special task force, which must have been formed by Najib. Najib decided what they ought to establish – that he did not use the RM2.67 billion for his personal gain.
Since Najib is the main and chief suspect and that the foursome all report to him, this exercise is nothing but a charade.
And the special task force hopes that no one will question the integrity of Bank Negara, the police and MACC in their duties and functions in the investigation? Hey, there is no need to hope.
No one will question it, for it does not exist. How can you doubt something that is non-existent?
Of course, ‘no one’ here means a sane, normal, honest person and not the bunch of imbeciles and shameless sycophants.
Up: An unusually large amount was found in the wife’s account and her husband is not required to go on leave?
Now we can understand why the requirement for all politicians to declare their assets was never implemented.
