Dear Tamil Foundation,

We warmly thank you for your generous and unfailing support for Malaysiakini.

These past few years have seen Malaysia and her economy take quite a beating. From multiple aviation disasters to an ever-rising cost of living, our beloved country has been incessantly plagued if not by top- level scandals that landed us in the top 3 of the ‘World’s Worst Corruption Scandals’ list, than by things like the high-profile murder of a DPP, a terrorist kidnapping and the spectacular fall of the ringgit.

It’s not going to be an easy 2016. Against the grim backdrop of economic uncertainty, however, we must remember that we should remain strong as a nation and remain hopeful for a better Malaysia.

Here at Malaysiakini, we remain committed to bringing you news and views that matter. You can rest assured that our editorial stance will always be built around ethical and relevant reporting.
