Message is spot on, but Pua may not be the right messenger
Pua: Those who plunder public coffers are anti-Malay, not DAP
Commentable: DAP lawmaker Tony Pua is right and every Malaysian who is not in collusion with Malaysian Official 1 (MO1) knows that.
It is a fact that Umno leaders or anyone one else for that matter, who allegedly plunder public coffers are the real enemy of the Malays (specifically) and all Malaysians (generally).
Not only are they the real scum who are anti-Malays, they are also the real traitors to the nation. They know all Malaysians will have to pay dearly to bail out monies that have gone missing/stolen on our own turf. Sucked dry is the word. It doesn’t matter if we are Malays or not.
Good money being taken away which otherwise could have gone to good use for housing, education, healthcare, etc and etc. Corruption denied us of all these.
It is indeed puzzling for one to accuse the DAP, or any other party, of being anti-Malay when the intention is to protect the public interest of all Malaysians.
Fighting for justice and fighting for the return of stolen monies is not anti-Malay or anti-nation, it is called true patriotism.
Fairman: The message that those who stole public funds are also anti-Malays is spot on, but Pua may not be the right messenger.
A better bet would be Muhyiddin Yassin, Azmin Ali, Mohamad Sabu, Mukhriz Mahathir or Shafie Apdal. You need to use these personalities to reach the Malay masses.
Opposition, your communication strategy needs improvement. Stop compartmentalising yourself (Bersatu, PKR, DAP and Amanah).
Have a one-stop media centre for better coordination to reach your audience. This must be your top priority. The urban voters and those enlightened ones already knows what Pua is saying.
Jaycee: This is what the ruling party is good at. Bring in the race card to justify their alleged stealing from the taxpayers and to deflect their guilt.
What else is the PM and the supporters going to say? Since the entire bunch of people refuse to resign; the only card they have left is the ‘race card’.
Aktan: Right-thinking Malays will certainly spit on such a statement that DAP is anti-Malay for stirring up this 1MDB fiasco. The rakyat should be thankful to them and others for exposing this as billions would have gone missing without any trace.
The time has come when no sane person shall ever believe that MO1 is not involved in the fiasco. It is painful to see in the media the photos of those alleged crooks performing public duty.
RR: You cannot fool the kampung Malays for ever. They are not stupid. I am not a Chinese and not a member of DAP.
I have never heard of DAP leaders talking ill of the Malays or Islam or even a desire to become a PM. So stop bluffing the Malays.
The Analyser: RR, you are right. You have never heard the leaders of the DAP deride the Malays. They are too cunning to do that.
But have you ever heard them say anything supportive of the Malays? Have you ever read any of their policies which specifically address Malay issues… or even Malaysian issues? What about their stand on Islam?
No, you haven’t because they have no policies on anything, let alone supportive policies for anything.
Hang Tuah PJ: Whenever these Umno goons utter the words that DAP is a predominantly Chinese chauvinist party which is opposed to Islam and the Malays, I feel they are just instigating racial tension so that they can stay in power.
I don’t hear DAP condemning Islam or the Malays, but I always hear these racist remarks from Umno.
And I can tell you there are many Malays who believe them.
Falcon: Old Malaysia had a 1MDB, E-I-E-I-O. And on this 1MDB there were riches to be stolen, E-I-E-I-O.
With a steal, steal here. And steal, steal there. Steal, steal, billions, billions. Everywhere, steal, steal, steal. Old Malaysia had a 1MDB, E-I-E-I-O.
Money-laundering and the art world
Pemerhati: Before Akhbar Satar, two previous presidents of Transparency International-Malaysia (TI-M) who made nice-sounding statements against corruption have become the alleged supporters of the biggest launderer of money in Malaysia.
Hopefully, Akhbar Satar is different from his predecessors.
EmEmKay: What brand of washing machine do money launderers use? Sarawak Report talks about Aabar, IPIC, PetroSaudi, Good Star or Acme Time.
Goldee: EmEmKay, how could you not see the brand on the picture of the washing machine above – it says ‘1MDB’.
