NUCC: Harmony Bill not anti-Islam and royalty
Vijay47: Why is everybody getting so worked up with the National Harmony and Reconciliation Bill? It would be just another piece of paper that is not going to change our lives.
The present dismal and frightening situation in Malaysia is not due to want of legislature, but a failure in enforcement or being selective when action is taken.
All the laws in the world will not help if there is no will or desire to execute them fairly. Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will confirm this.
1Mal: Laws are only effective when they are implemented accordingly. Look at the case of S Deepa’s son – the court has given her custody, but has it been enforced? So how can harmony come from even the good laws?
Proarte: The ‘special position’ of the bumiputera clearly referred to the community’s relative backwardness economically and educationally at the time of independence.
Any other interpretation would conflict with the equality provisions in the constitution. It was not meant to define a ‘super race’, ‘ a chosen people’ or the likes of the Nazi ‘Aryan race’.
In any case, the Muslim Prophet in his last sermon said that no human is superior over another and there should be no discrimination on the basis of race.
A person should be judged on the basis of his goodness and piety. So these Umno lobbyists must ask themselves whether they want to follow Nazi or Zionist philosophy, or whether they agree with Prophet Muhammad’s last sermon?
If they disagree with Prophet Muhammad, then it is logical to come to the conclusion that it is the Malay Consultative Council (MCC) which is anti-Islam.
Geronimo: So, again these pro-Umno Baru lobbyists have finally admitted that they do discriminate against the non-Malays as well as upholding their ‘ketuanan Melayu’ ideology. So, what else is there for us to say?
Sakit Hati Ku: When will these self-claimed bumiputera, the so-called ‘Ketuanan Umno Melayu’ have the pride and courage in themselves to throw away their crutches and compete with other fellow Malaysians on level-playing field?
There is no easy way to success in life. You opt either for short-term gains and long-term disaster, or for real progress.
Tan Kim Keong: The National Unity Consultative Council’s (NUCC) must remain steadfast and not waver.
Do not let the forces of evil in the form of racism, bigotry, fascism, inequality and supremacy hijack and circumvent the forces of good. Let good triumph.
Fairnsquare: Sadly the political system in the country is until today, after 57 years, influenced by the colonialists’ strategy of ‘divide and rule’.
This curse is being used by politicians to further their personal enrichment through cronyism, nepotism and corruption.
Lobbyists are in favour of such a system for personal reasons. The rakyat must realise that they are being used, and should stand together for racial harmony.
Return Indira’s child, MIC boss tells cops
Malaysian 53: Finally MIC president G Palanivel has managed to have the courage to speak out. The community has been waiting for you.
Do you have any plans if inspector-general of police (IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar refuses to follow the court order?
It’s time we plan ahead, Palanivel. The mother has already waited too long and our authorities are dragging their feet because the order is against a Muslim individual.
Chapati: The Ipoh High Court specifically ordered police to arrest Indira Gandhi’s ex-husband if he failed to fulfill the June 6 noon deadline. Today is the 9th, has the police arrested Mohd Ridzuan Abdullah for contempt of court.
Aries46: The president of MIC has been reduced to the level of having to beg his masters to enforce the laws of the land.
All because these spineless parasites have feathered their nests at the expense of the Indian poor who are treated worse than dogs by Umno.
Who does Palanivel thinks he is fooling? The victims of secret conversions, body snatching, temple raids and temple demolitions?
As the MIC president and minister in the ruling coalition if he has no clout to give an ultimatum merely to enforce a court decision he has lost whatever credibility to stay, if at all there was any.
Victims of secret conversions like Indira, S Shamala, S Deepa and the rest must ‘pooi’ on these shameless poodles that have pawned the rights and interests of the community merely for position and perks.
Why do Indians need representation in a racist regime that suppresses the Indian poor and does not even respect its own court decisions?
Vijay47: Good call, Palanivel. Just one question: what would you do if nobody does anything in response to your call, and Zahid shows you his finger?
Doggies: At last you have said something sensible. So if Indira’s children are not returned will you relinquish all government posts including your ministerial post, and leave the BN government?
