YOURSAY | ’The ‘small brother’ parties should follow big brother without questioning it.’

So MCA, this is how Umno sees you – as small fry

It’s for the big to discipline small crew, Nazri shoots back

yrsayumnoseesmcayoursay-EnglishDont Just Talk: MCA central committee member Ti Lian Ker, just swallow the bitter pill and apologise to your big brother, Umno supreme council member Nazri Abdul Aziz, unless you are man enough to take on Umno at GE14 without the ‘jaguh kampong’ (village champion) party’s support.

The moral of the story is, small brother parties like MCA, Gerakan and MIC should follow big brother, Umno Baru, without questioning it.

Learn from MCA deputy president Wee Ka Siong who, when asked who MO1 (Malaysian Official 1) is, he replied, ask Umno minister Abdul Rahman Dahlan.

Odysseus: Big or small does not matter. What matters most is that these statements from Nazri is a reflection of how Umno treats its component parties.

Umno lords over everyone. It’s either you keep quiet or get lost. That’s Umno’s law for everyone.

Ib: Obviously the ‘ketuanan’ mindset cannot be stepped on. But one cannot disagree that MCA and Gerakan has been reduced to hungry crew on the candy wagon.

When the wagon is rich, everyone is contented. When the wagon is losing steam, everyone’s pointing fingers.

If they were each fighting a true cause, there would be no problem. But if they are there for the candy only, then expect big problem.

Tikusmati: I thought all are equal in BN. Now he talks about big and small, crew and boss, etc.

And where is the MCA boss? Why are you not defending your loyal crew? Or perhaps you are waiting for something neutral to say, so that you will not be injured in the rumble?

Ttc: Ti, please don’t shed tears quietly. MCA has no more future. Most of the past leaders were self-serving and they have betrayed the trust given to them by the Chinese community.

If you truly want to do something for the Chinese community, the honourable thing for you to do is to leave MCA.

Hopeful123: Nazri, show your might. Ignore Padang Rengas and contest in an urban constituency in GE14 and prove to MCA that you can still win big.

Anyway, this kind of arrogance and bullying doesn’t take place in the opposition. There may be misunderstandings and disagreements among the opposition parties. But then that is the way it should be, isn’t it?

In BN, everything seems to be so smooth. If there is a problem, big brother will strike you down. So just close your ears, eyes and mouths and nod okay to everything.

Res Ipsa: Great stuff, BN. Keep the adrenaline flowing with your finger firmly on the self-destruct button.

The general public is waiting patiently for the day when this civil war will wipe out BN in its entirety.

Cogito Ergo Sum: MCA has been stomped on, spat on, crushed under the Umno heels and still says “Anything else, master?”

MCA is ignorant to believe that they are really in an equal partnership in the BN. It has kept silent while the agents of bigotry sowed their vitriol on Malaysian society.

It can only be interpreted that they are impotent partners. Now, take your caning and ‘dedak’ (animal feed) while you still can, and keep silent.

GE14Now!: To think that MCA is still sticking to the BN. I suppose it is because the MCA is so incredibly desperate.

But like Annie Lennox sang, “Some of them want to be abused.” Honestly, it is time to exit BN.

6th Generation Immigrant: Clarification please on Nazri’s description of “ship crew and captain” – is he referring to a pirate ship flying the Jolly Roger, or the 1Malaysia ship of hope?

Once that is sorted out, we, the rakyat, will then know for sure who is playing which character in this thrilling maritime episode.

Right now, all we know is there is a “mutiny” and “martial law imposed”. But if the entire ship is made out of pirates anyway, Malaysians would prefer that they be waved off, and not allowed to anchor in our waters or call on our ports.

Anonymous #01428088: Come on, small crew, show them your middle finger if you dare. Siti Kassim is better than all of you.

The Mask: MCA (Make Chinese Angry) – How much more can you take. Hasn’t Umno made you angry enough? Come on, give some dignity to the Chinese.

On the other hand, Nazri is perhaps a Trojan horse, trying to sabotage Najib by challenging the MCA to leave the BN, which could be followed by MIC and Gerakan, thus causing the collapse of the ‘dacing’.

Anonymous 2401191456463140: MCA, better jump ship now. The weather is not getting any better.
