Probe Jamal? That’s assuming the police are in charge
Probe, arrest and charge red-shirt leader, 32 NGOs tell IGP
Trueglitter: The gnarling of teeth and aggressive gesturing of limbs by the obnoxious and utterly aggressive Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos clearly serves as an oppressive act of blatant defiance for the righteous concerns of all right-thinking rakyat.
Clearly, the hopelessness of the situation has been further exacerbated by lack of any action from PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police), and especially the powers-that-be, which undeniably led us to believe that such unacceptable and premeditated aggression towards the opposition supporters were apparently condoned by leaders of Umno-BN and their political goons.
The rule of law should always apply to all parties in the endeavours of their supporters’ conduct to do whatever is right in this regard and any untoward misbehaviour like those from Jamal and his bunch of mindless hooligans should be vehemently condemned as their blatant disregard towards human dignity and civic order under the rule of law will only make the attainment of any resultant victory ring hollow and deservedly un-inviting.
Anonymous_1419577444: You can see from the video on the Teluk Intan incident that the red shirts have no fear or respect for the police.
It makes people wonder who is actually in charge? And judging from the inaction from the inspector-general of police (IGP) so far, it is clear that Jamal is his boss.
Wong Fei Hoong: IGP, I really pity your men. They are being hassled and shouted at by these red shirt thugs. Look at the video. Pity these poor police officers.
Odin Tajué: The NGOs’ cautioning that the failure to apprehend and prosecute Jamal would send the message that Malaysia was governed by thugs instead of the rule of law shows that they are oblivious of reality.
Malaysia is, in fact, being governed by people who are worse than thugs. The red-shirt thugs are used by those people mainly to cause the citizens to forget the US$7 billion and the RM4 billion allegedly stolen from them through 1MDB and SRC International respectively.
Katusha: The IGP’s deafening silence and meek inaction against this Jamal thug cum hooligan says a lot about who is behind all these thuggery and hooliganism.
Kangkung: How is it possible to arrest and charge the leader of the thugs when he is an Umno leader?
As an Umno leader, you have immunity from prosecution. The IGP is only able to take action against the opposition at lightning speed.
Vision2020: All it takes is a spark to create a fire that will get out of control.
PDRM has to nib this in the bud before it is give an uncontrollable pandemonic ‘nightmare’ to our peaceful Malaysia of different colour and creed; of different race and religion.
Vijay47: The threat to peace in Malaysia is not Jamal, a retard of a thug, or his fellow imbeciles like Salleh Said Keruak, Ismail Sabri Yaakob, or Abdul Rahman Dahlan.
The biggest danger to the country is that IGP Khalid Abu Bakar, and the mind boggles at the way he shamelessly fails in his responsibilities without a single word of reprimand from a grateful prime minister.
With Khalid’s totally selective enforcement of the law, the members of the opposition or anyone perceived to be not a blind supporter of Umno are subject to double or even triple jeopardy.
Any opposition member against whom a police report is made, however ridiculous it may be, is either arrested or made to present himself to the police – Jeff Ooi had to say adios to liberty for a while.
Then there is no action whatsoever for making a false report, hence we have thugs like Jamal attributing all kinds of crimes to opposition without any fear of ramifications.
Finally, any report on his sort is simply ignored. Our police force is royal?
Aries46: Perhaps it is not fair to blame Khalid unless we know who reports to whom.
It’s all the more troubling as Jamal has taken over the law in broad daylight and the police are looking the other way giving indirect protection and the IGP on silent mode.
Perhaps bringing in Ali Tinju had earned him his masters’ rebuke.
Nehru: In Zimbabwe, President Robert Mugabe used his thugs to create violence against the opposition parties before the last elections. Many were hurt.
We are seeing a similar pattern in Jamal.
N1: Indeed, gangsters like Jamal will soon take over the street and terrorise the people if we continue to allow the corrupt politicians to rule this country.
Negarawan: It is not only Mr Ikan Bakar that should be arrested, but also the person who is funding him from Umno. The brazen acts of hooliganism and assault are clearly illegal and must not be tolerated.
Sa Tombs: How can the IGP arrest his own boss? His job will go and he may have to start selling ikan bakar.
