Make sure PM in court to be cross-examined

He will not go any further than this because he knows that if he goes to a fair court, the truth that is being told about him will not only be confirmed but under cross examination he may be forced to spill more beans.

But there is a possibility that if he gets sufficiently angry and desperate, he may decide to conduct Anwar Ibrahim’s sodomy-style trial where he does not have to go to court and the people who tell the truth get punished.

I am very sure this case will not reach the court for two reasons. Najib is not prepared to be literally stripped naked in front of the whole world regarding 1Malaysia Development Board’s (1MDB) financial mismanagement.

Secondly, he also cannot afford to look stupid upon being questioned about the company’s financial data that he cannot explain.

So, we can safely conclude that this suit is to intimidate others from exposing more BN scandals.

Anonymous#007: Every Malaysian should be like Pua, whether Pakatan Rakyat or BN is the government. The rakyat has a moral responsibility to be like Pua, to ensure a clean and transparent government.

The first step is to reject anyone who is corrupt, no matter which party they are from. Reject anyone who is racist, no matter which party they are from. Reject anyone who puts his religion ahead of the rakyat, because taxpayers do not pay people to be religious.

You can be religious even if you have nothing. In fact, it is the highest insult to any religion and God to believe that having many houses of worship, not to mention luxury ones, would make one more pious.

It would be cheaper for taxpayers if Najib simply allow independent parties to audit the books, especially Pakatan leaders who the rakyat knows will definitely not take a bribe to polish up the books for Umno or Najib.

There are many international sources that have alleged mismanagement and abuse of power by Najib, why doesn’t he sue all of them?

Why pick on this one opposition MP who is simply doing his job, who is simply performing the responsibility bestowed upon him when he was elected by the rakyat?

This will only prove that the 1MDB fiasco is real and Najib is just beating about the bush to delay, avoid and frustrate attempts to bring those involved to justice.

I cannot find any other modern country in today’s world whereby the PM sues someone for questioning, revealing, or criticising his wrongdoings.

Later when things have died down say in two or three years, withdraw the action. I doubt Najib will dare to go to court and be cross-examined about his role in 1MDB.

Anticonmen: Debate the issue in Parliament with facts and figures. Let Parliament decide whether there is fraud and mismanagement.

Suing another lawmaker for raising issues means a lack of leadership.

Not Convinced: Indeed, the proper forum to debate the issue is the Parliament, not the court.

An MP should not be suing another MP.

Truly Malaysian: Somewhere along the line, Malaysia lost the plot.

Isn’t it the job of the PM is to clarify issues of national interest to the rakyat instead of suing any rakyat who question the management of the country?
