PM, sue man who ‘ordered’ hit on Altantuya
PM and wife sue Rafizi over ‘diamond ring’ jibe
Victor Johan: Defamatory remarks? Are they stupid? Pandan MP and PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli’s statement is more of sarcasm and a metaphor to indicate the couple’s extraordinary spending whilst the nation’s citizenry bears the high costs of living, including the rise in fuel prices.
This lawsuit is another sign of a weak prime minister. The public should force the resignation of this politically appointed head of government; he was elected president of his political party by 160 Umno divisions and elected Pekan member of parliament by the constituent voters, not by the majority of the nation.
Having brought shame to the nation and allegedly indulging in corrupt practices; he should either relinquish the PM’s post or be ousted by the people.
A foolproof way is to oust his political party and ruling coalition at the next general election.
CQ Muar: Najib Razak is the one and only ‘Suing Prime Minister’ in the world. Where else can a PM find so much time to resort to litigations against its citizens? This is another ‘first’ to be added into the Guinness Book of Record.
Strangely, why sue Rafizi over the diamond ring? What about Rosmah Mansor’s round-the-world pleasure trip using the government jet, her Birkin handbags, her son’s wealth, and so on?
So many allegations of abuse of power, and now you want to pick on Rafizi to distract the rakyat from the questions raised by Mahathir?
Najib, sue the former premier if you have the guts. We dare you.
Mushiro: Come to think of it, Rosmah has got her jewelleries, the Birkin bags, those super expensive watches, her son’s condo of RM110 million in New York and his house of RM64 million in Hollywood – and this is only the tip of the Rosmah iceberg.
Whether the fuel prices go up or down, she is not affected. And she sincerely believes this is defamation?
Bringon14: Well, here we go again. If politicians cannot take the heat, they should just get out of the kitchen.
Truth Prevails: Of course, Mahathir has been pestering you to reveal who ordered the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.
Since you are on a suing spree, why don’t you sue the person (be it a he or she) who ordered the killing of Altantuya.
Kilgore: Rosmah brought a RM24 million ring into the country, so she was certainly thinking about buying it. Why else would they send it from New York?
Because they knew the she couldn’t resist, if only it weren’t exposed to the public. They live a disgusting, ostentatious lifestyle, and rub the noses of every Malaysian citizen in it. It’s sickening.
Rayfire: If the pair has any ounce of integrity left in them, they would quit and disappear.
Please don’t belittle the people’s intellect and claim innocence by going on suing spree after the all-famous shopping spree. Just go.
Hmmmmmmmm: Rafizi has a hell of a job explaining how she can afford all those luxuries.
Vgeorgemy: If the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is able to complete and cleared the case under two hours, our court under the excellent leadership of chief justice Arifin Zakaria only needs seconds to dispose it, the same way he instructed the courts to handle ‘ikan bilis’ crimes.
Dalvik: Oh? I thought Najib told us not to believe in things that we read online? Why did he and his wife sue the owner of Media Rakyat, an online portal?
Adityamahesh: Najib should step down as PM to fight all these lawsuits. This should not be done on government’s time.
Rafizi thrilled to face Najib, Rosmah in court
Homesick: I bet my last ringgit that all these lawsuits will be withdrawn later. I don’t think the couple have the courage and the intelligence to be grilled by lawyers.
All their lives, every speech is written and pre-prepared for them. In court, nothing is pre-prepared. They would not know what hit them when the opposing lawyer starts grilling them.
Anonymous #07443216: It looks like Rafizi’s prayers have been answered at last, let the show begins.
It has been extremely difficult to put both Najib and Rosmah on the stand in the past, but now Najib has finally fallen in the trap. Popcorn, please.
James TCLow: In the face of multiple suits, Rafizi is putting up a very brave front and very sarcastic too.
This smart and battle-harden MP will go places, very high places politically.
