Isn’t there a single honest man left in Umno?
How can one support a man who does not walk the talk, going back on his words (Sedition Act) and would not give answers to simple questions?
As former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad has asked, if your wife is a murderer, do you still support her?
No doubt you are aware that your boss carries a lot of excess baggages with lots of skeletons inside. So is it going to be business as usual for him and we Malaysians?
As for moderation, ask yourself honestly whether Najib Abdul Razak and his government have been practising moderation. If your answer is “yes”, then you better give us your definition of the word.
My final word. I think you better vacate your post as the CEO of the Global Movement of Moderates (GMM).
CQ Muar: If only Najib were free from those controversial accusations and alleged scandals, I would readily agree he would make a fine prime minister of this country.
Alas, this was not to be. Najib’s many wrongdoings, over-indulgence, mismanagement and involvement in certain scandals were too overwhelming for a reversal.
With his inherited pride and ego, it is doubtful he would ever admit his faults. Indeed, being recalcitrant and dogmatic are his major downfall.
Nonetheless, hope lies eternal in the human breast, as I always advocated. If personal changes were made with strong conviction and belief (not mere transformation for the nation), there’s still light at the end of the tunnel.
At the end of the day, the choice is in his hands. Make a concerted effort towards this goal, we might still have a fine statesman leading this nation.
Goose: My God, what happened to Saifuddin? So there is not a single honest man left in Umno?
In spite of the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal, the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder and the lies he tells every day, we should still stick with Najib? Anyone will be better than him.
Abasir: “He (Saifuddin) said the Umno president’s advisors had been giving him bad advice, and urged them to support Najib’s progressive policies instead.”
And you know who they are, don’t you? Name them, Mr Global Moderate. But you won’t, because you know, it is not a case of bad advisers.
It is Najib, the Great Bugis Pretender with an equally great many skeletons, who veered to the extreme right to avoid being exposed by those who know exactly what he did.
Only a guilty one with a lot to hide is susceptible to blackmail. If that is not true, is he a spineless, feckless, clueless wimp who can be twisted around by those he has surrounded himself with? And if so, does he deserve to be called “leader”?
In any case, can you tell the rakyat where the 1MDB money is and who ordered the killing of Altantuya? If you can’t or won’t, just stop your good cop, bad cop sandiwara because no one with even half a brain is taken up by it.
The bottom line is, Saifuddin, you are very much a part of the problem.
Sabahan: Note that Saifuddin is urging the survival of Umno or rather its leaders (read scavengers). There is absolutely no concern for the welfare of the Malaysian citizens, including those Malays struggling to make a decent living.
Thana55: The only way out of this gridlock arising from the Mahathir-Najib spat is to go for an interim unity government headed by Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.
Sort out the check-and-balance institutions that have been compromised by both these men and have the 14th general election (GE14) on schedule. Sorry, Saifuddin, you’re wrong.
Kang Kong King: The answer to Saifuddin is Mahathir was better than Najib. This answer lies in the fact that Najib is the worst PM this country has ever had.
Hermit: Before I call it a day, just one more for you, Saifuddin. If you can’t hold on to your kampong and party folks, just forget dreaming of going beyond them. Global is too big and you can only dream like Mat Jenin.
Cantabrigian: I am very disappointed to know that Saifuddin is supporting Najib after all the fiasco the latter was involved in.
I used to say to many people that Saifuddin will be Malaysia’s future prime minister based on his qualities (while the rest of BN are just jokers and clowns), but now I officially retract my support for him. He can sink together with Najib if that’s what he wants.
By the way, Malaysiakini has found a new business model; just publish anti-BN articles and you will see hundreds of Umno-BN cybertroopers lining up to ‘praise’ and ‘defend’ BN, and all of these commenters are paid accounts, so it’s good income forMalaysiakini.
