Not aware RM42m in own bank account? Few believe Najib
Highly improbable PM clueless about RM42m, says Zaid
Odin Tajué: Former law minister Zaid Ibrahim, yes, it is indeed highly improbable and simply unbelievable.
But PM Najib Razak has shown himself to be severely addicted to not telling the truth — to a level of severity that has seemingly caused him to be oblivious of the fact that he’s only lying to himself.
Did he not claim to have thought the RM42 million transferred into his account had come from his imagined King Abdullah and yet he is said to have returned the balance of the ‘doh-nay-shun’ to the king in August of 2013 but the RM42 million was transferred into his account a year after that?
RM42 million appeared in your account and you never bother to find out where it came from? Only idiots would believe him.
Of course, as many of us know now, there was allegedly another RM27 million from SRC International (SRC), thus making the total sum RM69 million.
Saya Pun Nak Cari Makan: Yes, I agreed that it is highly improbable that Najib did not know that such a huge sum is deposited into his account.
If a person transferred even RM42 to another person, he would have notified the recipient at once, asking the latter to check if the money has been entered into his account.
As such if the transfer involved millions, the transferer must be an idiot if he did not notify the recipient about this huge sum money.
Ipoh Pp: Even my son, who transferred a small sum of money to me, sent a message to me to check if the money had gone into my bank account.
Any right-thinking person if he deposits money into another account will want to know if the money has reached the recipient. This is to ensure that he did not accidentally bank it into a wrong account.
So this story from the PM not knowing RM42 million going into his account is mere bulls**t. Need I say more?
Existential Turd: We have a sitting finance minister who has no clue about the comings and goings in his personal bank account. Either he is incompetent or a pathological liar, or both.
Report: M’sian minister launches scathing attack on Swiss AG
SRMan: “It’s very unusual, and against normal protocol, for a senior official of one country to speak publicly on the internal matters of another country. Yet that is what the Swiss AG (attorney-general) has done,” Salleh Said Keruak had reportedly said.
Salleh, you are from the Communications and Multimedia Ministry, so why did you comment on such issue which is definitely not within the purview of your ministry?
Is it not the Foreign Ministry which is more qualified to comment on such an issue? And it looks like the one who is “breaking protocol” is yourself.
Spinnot: Salleh, some Malaysian officials are suspected of having misappropriated funds belonging to Malaysia’s state-owned firms. The suspected wrongdoings took place in banks based in Switzerland.
The investigations carried out by the Swiss authorities and public statements made by Swiss officials are not Malaysia’s “internal matters”.
Kit P: Indeed, when a crime is suspected of being committed on Swiss soil, through a Swiss bank, it is a criminal matter in Switzerland.
This is not interfering in the internal affairs of Malaysia. In fact, if true that Malaysia’s attorney-general asked their Swiss counterpart to drop the case, that is breaking protocol.
Yap Cs: Telling cock-and-bull stories to Malaysians is very different from telling it to foreign press. They are even less forgiving of illogical explanations and half-witted conclusions.
For a so-called ‘communications minister’ who had not grasp facts like the refusal of various accounting firms to sign off their audits or give only qualified assessment to 1MDB for many years from 2009, it is a national disgrace.
Does he think foreigners are not aware of the facts of the case?
Tan Kim Keong: Salleh, it’s very simple – nothing that Najib, the government and the AG have done regarding getting to the truth of 1MDB conveyed transparency, ethics and trustworthiness.
All the behavioural traits exhibited by Najib, the government and the AG are perceived to be of those who have something to hide or contain the truth.
So the Swiss AG behaviour in this regard is one of owing to a high level of transparency, ethics and trustworthiness. But you will not get it.
Katusha: If you really have nothing to hide, then why should you be irritated, agitated, scared or even ashamed of whatever truth, information or “misinformation” about your country?
You can lord over everyone and everything in your own country, but not over the whole world, get that?
Hopeful123: Salleh, why do you feel so bad about the Swiss AG making the news public?
It is a chance for us to show the Swiss AG that they were wrong. Show them the evidence and supporting documents that Malaysia had not made any mistakes, and all 1MDB accounts are above board.
Show them we mean business and we don’t play around with money like others do. Come on, Salleh, show it to them and redeem our national pride.
