Hanging on to posts exposes ulama’s real face

PAS hanging on to S’gor, Penang gov’t postsyrsayhangingon Tell the Truth: What a bunch of shameful PAS leaders. You choose to break ties with DAP and yet you want to eat the food provided by the DAP-led government in Penang?

These leeches have no integrity whatsoever, and want to hang on to something they are no longer entitled to when they made the decision to cut ties with DAP.

In volunteering to step down, former PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu and former central committee member Mujahid Yusof Rawa are men of integrity. I salute them and would vote for them in the next GE.

SSDhaliwal: The greedy nature of PAS has been exposed. They clearly do not practice what they preach. Is this the Islam they so brandish with gusto?

They divorce their partner, but still want to sleep with them. That is revolting and disgusting.

Bystander: Now you would see who are the spineless ones in PAS who want their cake and eat it too. My salute to Mat Sabu and Mujahid.

Refusing to resign especially in Penang would be tantamount to not walking the talk laid down by the ulama to sever ties with DAP.

It is just power that these spineless people wanted all this while, using religion as their platform.

MinahBulat: PAS ulama and their members who choose to remain in the Penang government are not only devoid of integrity, they are now viewed as ‘pariahs’ if they remain in the Penang government. They haven’t the slightest shame.

RCZ: They are shameless and dishonest fellows with totally no honour. Who cares about the syura council as the members cannot and do not wish to work with their coalition partner and do not wish to follow the common principles agreed to earlier.

These fellows should just resign. All parties, please note that the rakyat are watching your every move.

CQ Muar: The pertinent question here should be, what has PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang got to say over the melee, being the brain and architect behind the move to cut ties with DAP?

Inevitably, you should consider the honour and dignity of your party and advise your members not to hold posts and positions led by DAP and PKR.

Exhibit how righteous and principled your faith is by following through – tell your overzealous PAS elites to quit if you’re so high and mighty.

Isn’t it awfully shameful that your party members are serving under the employment of your ardent adversary, Hadi?

Tentarik: PAS was played out by Umno before, but they never learn, and they are going to be played again for good. How naive can its president be? He thinks Umno chief Najib Razak is sincere, now Najib is laughing.

Common Good of Society: It is equally sad to see that the majority of PAS members are unable to comprehend between good and bad policies and practices.

It is sad that its members do not realise that the party’s ideals are no longer relevant to a secular society like Malaysia.

As for the progressives who lost in the election, all is not lost. If you are convinced of your fight for a better Malaysia, there is still tomorrow where you can continue your fight on a different platform.

If you no longer subscribe to the unrealistic ideals of your party which by large are rejected by society, it makes no sense for you to sink with the ship.

It would be good to see all the progressives continuing their fight for the good of the nation, albeit even on a different platform which by and large, we understand, accept and approve.

Swot Strategist: Sadly, all peace-loving Malaysians are so divided by race and religion due to 57 years of BN politics. A small nation is witnessing the imminent clash of civilisations, Islam versus secularism.

PAS promotes Islam and hudud while DAP promotes multiracialism and religious plurality in upholding our sacred constitution. Where will this lead us to?

Rejecting hudud means rejecting PAS. The collateral damage is 6,000 innocent government posts in Penang and Selangor now in limbo with the continued crisis.

History has warned of the many dangers of religion creeping into politics. For peace and harmony, smart Malaysians must go all out to ensure PAS and all other race-based parties remain as ‘kampung’ parties.

Wsoi: It’s better to start all over again without PAS. If PAS is willing to be on its own again, Pakatan Rakyat should be more than willing to start all new and create a more stable alliance, especially in states like Selangor, Perak, Negri Sembilan, Malacca and Johor. All these states are within grip.

Lamps: PAS is now the cancer in Pakatan. Kick them out as soon as possible.

Headhunter: At the end of the day, PAS is like Umno – greedy and unprincipled. All the talk about being pious and religious is a farce.
