YOURSAY | ‘Pandikar, please do not do a ‘sandiwara’ with the people.’

Will Pandikar now allow debate on RM2.6b issue?

You’re usurping my power, Pandikar rebukes Azalina

yrsaynosandiwaraPeter Kandiah: I disagree with Minister in the PM’s Department Azalina Othman Said that the RM2.6 billion ‘donation’ is sub judice.

However, to be fair to her she is entitled make the statement. Wrong or right, it is up to Parliament to make the ruling. She did not make any ruling. Why the fuss then?

The angry Dewan Rakyat speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia ought not to claim Azalina was usurping his power by stating the issue cannot be discussed in Parliament before he makes a ruling on the matter.

There was no usurping of anyone’s powers, going by the various press reports.

Victor Johan: Azalina had previously refused to entertain questions on RM2.6 billion ‘donation’ banked into PM Najib Razak’s personal accounts, citing Standing Order 23(1)(g), and the parliamentary speaker did not haul up the minister and claimed he was not aware of the ban by the minister.

When the opposition pointed out the minister having overstepped her position, the speaker then asked the opposition to formally write in for his decision. Why couldn’t Pandikar orally make his decision right away, thereby regaining his lost credibility.

With this action, the people no longer perceive the speaker as a ‘yes man’, the people know for sure Pandikar is a ‘yes man’ to the Umno-BN government.

Pemerhati: Pandikar has repeatedly shown in Parliament that he is extremely unfair and biased against the opposition and repeatedly proven that he is an Umno and Najib lackey.

So why is he suddenly rebuking Azalina, a fellow PM Najib Razak lackey? Probably because it serves two purposes.

Firstly, he thinks it will show to the public that he is an independent and fair-minded speaker as he even reprimands the Umno leaders but to those who have seen his past actions this looks like a ‘sandiwara’.

Secondly, he thinks that Najib might decide to give him little of the billions he has to make sure he comes up with the correct decision. To give Najib some time to pay up, he did not give an immediate decision but asked for a written submission instead.

The delay would also give him time to get some advice and think of a reason to come up with the same decision as Azalina.

CQ Muar: I’m absolutely flabbergasted why the BN government is so protective of Najib over the 1MDB scandal, involving RM2.6 billion and RM42 million, which they claimed Najib is free from wrongdoing.

Why are they (the government) so afraid to make a stand to clear him once and for all if indeed he is innocent?

Even Azalina foolishly attempted to usurp the speaker’s powers by claiming it would be sub judice to raise the issue further in Parliament.

If the PM is an honourable person as he said, all he needed to do is to reveal who the actual “donor” is – akin to Penang CM Lim Guan Eng’s case, where the seller even came up with a SD (statutory declaration) over her deal.

Is this so very hard for Najib to fulfil to get over the obstacle? Much time had been wasted, and it is time to get back to tackling the country’s many urgent issues.

RM2.6 Billion Turkey Haram: Pandikar, please do not do a ‘sandiwara’ with the people.

Irrespective of what Azalina said, we know that your ruling would be just as what she said – no more questions on the RM2.6 billion ‘donation’.

Ku Li signs Kelantan Declaration supporting Najib as PM

Samanju: Honourable Ku Li (Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah). Thank you for signing the Kelantan Declaration. With your deft political manoeuvres, we simpletons could not figure out where you stood on 1MDB and the RM2.6 billion ‘donation’.

Many of us held you in very high esteem. We even hope that you would somehow be appointed PM to lead us through this quagmire.

However, thank you so, so very much for signing in support of Najib. It’s now clear as daylight. We are certain we shall not be fooled by you from today forward.

Maplesyrup: Next to Anwar, Ku Li is the best PM we never had… I suppose being born with a silver spoon, he cannot really feel as the ordinary folks feel – despite the genius, he never achieved greatness, and it is now clear why.

It is not Dr Mahathir Mohamad who denied him, but he does not have it in him to succeed.

Chouseefatt: I wrote Ku Li off back in 2013 when after making so much interesting noises, he continued to help Umno during GE13.

This man could have been something, but being born to comfort and luxury, he has no clue what it’s like to be an ordinary member of the rakyat – unlike DSAI (Anwar Ibrahim) who began life modestly as a student leader and has experienced injustice and incarceration almost half his political life.

Sans Blinkers: From the opposition’s point of view, Razaleigh can be struck out from the list of potential PM in the event of the opposition front gaining power. So it is a good development.

However, Ku Li is now a potential Umno PM in the event of current PM stepping down instead of Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, another positive development.
